London Stock Exchange Group, known as LSEG, is a financial markets infrastructure and data business. Its activities include market data, analytics, indexes, trading, and post-trade services. The London Stock Exchange is part of the group, but the group is broader than that exchange; references to LSEG and to a particular trading venue should be distinguished.
Illustrative example
An investor may encounter a FTSE Russell index, LSEG data, and a London Stock Exchange listing in one research workflow, although they serve different purposes.
What to consider
A corporate group's name does not identify a particular instrument or service agreement. Confirm which entity and product a document actually concerns.
