Understanding calls, puts and product availability

Learning about options does not establish that a platform offers them.

Educational guideSeptember 2026

Know what an option represents

A call generally gives its buyer a right to buy an underlying asset or contract under specified conditions, while a put generally gives a right to sell. The strike, expiry, premium and exercise terms matter. An option buyer and seller have different obligations and risk profiles. A platform label using the word options may describe a different product, so read the actual contract rather than relying on the name.

Verify the offering and permissions

For a live service, confirm the exact instrument, settlement method, eligibility requirements and whether the activity involves buying or writing options. Understand assignment and expiry before entering an agreement. FYLU has not confirmed live options availability or account permissions. Its educational coverage should not be interpreted as approval to trade, and neither an automated answer nor a reference provider's offering establishes what FYLU will make available.

General information, not a personal recommendation. Product availability, rights, and obligations are determined by the relevant provider, jurisdiction, and approved agreements.
