Check the quantity and accounting
A partial closure reduces the open quantity instead of ending the entire position. Its effect on realized results and the remaining entry price depends on the provider's accounting and position model. Identify the original size, amount to close and intended remainder before submitting an instruction. Consider minimum increments and whether a partial execution might leave a smaller position than expected, still exposed to price changes and applicable costs.
Review the remaining setup
After an actual partial closure, inspect the confirmation, remaining quantity, margin and linked stops or targets. Do not assume every exit instruction automatically resizes; that behavior depends on the platform. Keep the records needed to reconcile realized and unrealized results. FYLU's current preview cannot reduce a live position or adjust linked orders. Its illustrations explain the process without confirming any operational feature or outcome on an account.
